Vita

Jonna Kaßner is a PhD student and scholarship holder in classroom research and English didactics at the Institute of English Studies. She holds a B.A. and M.Ed. with distinction in primary school teaching with her main subjects being English and Music, which she both acquired at Leuphana University. During her studies she has also worked as a student assistant/tutor at the IES in the fields of social media and wiki pages.

Her research focuses on the potential of using Escape Room games and its mechanics in EFL learning in secondary schools. Further research interests include Gamification, Task-Based Language Learning (TBLT), Cooperative Learning, Language Teaching Methodology, Speaking Anxiety and Problem-Solving.
