Dr. Diana Pili-Moss
Vita
Diana Pili-Moss is Lecturer in TEFL and Senior Research Associate at the Institute for English Studies.
Her main research interests are in the area of second language learning in instructed contexts, both in the classroom and through digital media. Specifically, she is interested in the way cognitive factors modulate child and adult learning, processing and use of a second or additional language, with a focus on the role of memory and age. She is also interested in the pedagogical implications of this research for how languages are taught and learned in the classroom and in the role of corrective feedback in L2 development. Previously she did research in the area of comparative Romance and Germanic linguistics focusing on the interface between syntax and semantics.
