Vita

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Noomane Ben Khalifa is Professor of Manufacturing – in particular Innovative Manufacturing an the Head of the Institute of Production Technology and Systems (IPTS), Leuphana Universität. He also heads the Institute for Material and Process Design at the Helmholtz Center Hereon. His research focuses in particular on the sustainable and ecological development of innovative manufacturing processes, among others for the transportation sector. In addition to extrusion, the manufacturing processes include sheet metal forming as well as additive manufacturing. The manufacturing processes are designed to be climate- and resource-friendly along the entire value chain.
